[6] In 1850 Ezekiel was married and living with his wife and three year old son.[7]

Research Note

The copy of the original is clearly Samuel not Jamie in the marriage record of Samuel and Elizabeth Stump. Note the S's in other names.

The Elizabeth on the 1850 census is Samuel's widow. Thomas' first wife was also Elizabeth and died in 1849.

Additional source for Samuel and his family is "Richard Stout Descendants in West Virginia", Russell Ray Stout, 1966?, Chapter 6:18-23.[8] and Chapter 7 is a discussion of Jonathan and Hannah Jewell's family file:///D:/all%20genealogy/my%20books/Richard%20Stout%20Descendants%20in%20West%20Virginia/03-04-2013/Chapter%207%20Jonathan%20and%20Hannah%20Jewell.pdf</ewd> Both chapters will help clarify that the father of Samuel, Thomas and Hezekiah Jr and Charity Stout Maze was Hezekiah Sr and Sarah Unknown Stout. In 1930 Virginia Rutherford, granddaughter of Hezekiah Jr, his father and mother were living with the author who would have been a reliable source for his book regarding Hezekiah Stout Sr. [9]
