Biography

Hannah was a Friend (Quaker)

Daughter of Joseph Stout and Hannah Osborn

Married Simon Moon on 7 November 1807 in Alamance County, North Carolina[1]

Per bio on Findagrave: "Simon Moon (1784-1835), co-founder of the city of Westfield, Indiana, along with Asa Bales and Ambrose Osborn, was one of the first white settlers in the early part of 1832. Coming from Cane Creek, North Carolina, he and his wife, Hannah Stout Moon and their three sons, William, Simon and Riley, settled on 160 acres in the southwest quarter of Section 25 in Hamilton County. They built the first log cabin in Washington Township which, after the Civil War, was taken down by Jeff Neal and put up on the north side of Westfield. Being from a Quaker Family and a follower, Simon was a charter member of the Westfield Friends Meeting and gave two acres to the church for a cemetery, in which he is presumed interred."
