Biography

Sarah Stout, daughter of Freegift Stout sr and Mary (Higgins) Stout, born about 1725 and died before July 10 1768 in Loudon County, VA. She married about 1743 Ephraim Oliphant, son of Duncan and Mary (Garrison) Oliphant, born 1717 in Staten Island, NY and died 1794 in Loudon County, VA. They were the parents of several children. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

She is named in her father's will as Sarah Oliphant, wife of Ephraim Oliphant and living in Kingwood Twsp, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. In a codocil to the will dated July 10 1768 she is said to be deceased and her inheritance is to be divided equally to her children when they come of age. ^{[5] [6] [7] [8]}

DNA evidence shows this is the child of Higgins-233, (Mary Higgins Stout) and Stout-215 (Freegift Stout Sr) and the parent of Oliphant-57. (John A b 1759 d 1823) ALTERNATE DEATH: 1788 OTHER DEATH DATE: 1768
