His gravestone shows that Godfry Daniel Stout was born on 23 Nov 1757 and died on 2 April 1846. This is a modern gravestone, erected by his descendants.^[1] You can see a picture of the grave marker at FindAGrave.

"The dates on his tombstone, which is noted as being erected by some of his descendants, are possibly incorrect. The date of his birth in most records show November 23, 1750. The date of his death, which is accepted by the DAR, is January 13, 1845."^[1]
