Biography
John Stovall was born circa 1820, in Kentucky, a son of Squire Stovall and Catherine Rhoades. On July 16, 1840, in Gasconade county, Missouri, John married Mary Branson, born circa 1824, in Virginia, a daughter of Jarred Edward Branson, Jr. and Frances East. [1]
John and "Polly" Stovall are found on the United States Census of 1850, living in Third Creek Township, Gasconade county, Missouri. [2]
