Samuel was a Friend (Quaker)
Samuel was born about 1737 (estimate based on date of marriage).[1] He was the son of Edward Shove and Phebe Osborn of Dighton, Bristol, Massachusetts Bay.[1]
The Dartmouth record of their marriages spells his surname Shove. [2]
He married Abigail Anthony, daughter of William and Alice Anthony of Dartmouth, on 9d 7m 1760.[1]
He married Rebekah Tucker, daughter of Abraham and Rebekah of Dartmouth, on 11d 11m 1762.[1] [2]
