Biography

Grandfather of Dwight Eisenhower 34th President of the United States.

Simon P. Stover was born in Augusta, VA on 28 September 1822, to Daniel Stover Jr. and Mary (Hannah) Stover.

The 1850, 1860, and 1870 United States Federal Censuses show residence in Augusta County, Virginia. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

The 1850 Census shows him and Elizabeth, and a new born Daniel B (although the transcription is incorrect), living with his parents, Daniel and Mary ^[1]

Simon married Elizabeth Ida Link in about 1848. ^{[4] [5]}
