Nathaniel (Stow) Stowe immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).
Nathaniel Stow was baptized on 7 Oct 1621 in Biddenden, Kent, England, the son of John Stow and Elizabeth Bigg. He came to New England in 1634 with his family. He married his first wife Elizabeth (last name unknown) in 1656 and had three children, John, Hannah, and Thankful by her. She died in 1661 and he married second Martha Metcalf, daughter of Michael Metcalf and Sarah Elwyn, and widow of William Bignall (or Bicknell) on 20 Aug 1662 in Concord, Massachusetts. He had three children by Martha - Nathaniel, Samuel, and Ebenezer. He died 26 Dec 1717 in Concord.[1]
