Timothy Stow was born February 16, 1714/5 at Concord, Massachusetts son of Nathaniel Jr. and Ruth (Merriam) Stow. [1]
After his father Nathaniel's death, on April 19, 1726, Nathaniel Meriam was appointed guardian to Timothy a minor in his 11th year and his brother Jonathan in his 21st year. [2] [3]
Timothy died September 7, 1727 [1] and is buried with his parents at the Old Burying Ground at Concord.
His inscription reads: Here Lyes ye Body of Timothy Stow Son of Mr. Nathaniel Stow Junr. & Mrs Ruth His Wife Who Decd. Sept. ye 7th 1727 in ye 13th Year of His Age He Cometh Forth like a flower, and is Cut Down: He Fleeth also as a Shadow, and Continueth not. [4]
On September 2, 1728, Joseph Stow was appointed administrator of his brother Timothy's estate. [5]
The estate was valued at L130 7s 5 1/2 d and included his share of his father's real estate at L108. After brother Joseph submitted an accounting of the estate, including administrative. travel and appraisal costs, funeral costs, grave digging and gravestone etc. the following legal heirs submitted their satisfaction of the accounts.
