Death of Old Stanley Street Resident —Mrs. Martha Croft Spent Many Happy Years Here. For over 38 years a resident of Stanley-street, Richmond, another pioneer, Mrs. Martha Croft died at the residence of her grand-daughter, Mrs. A. Wickham, Hawthorn, on August 2. Mrs. Croft had reached the ripe old age of 82 years. She was a kindly soul, full of recollections of the earlier days, and esteemed by a wide circle. She was the mother of Messrs. Thomas, Ernest, George and Montague Croft, Mrs. N. S. Brooke (Surrey Hills), Mrs. H. B. Lowe (Nambrook), and Mrs. E. Pulbrook (Perth, W.A.) ^[4]
