Emily (Stowell) Peel was born in Lancashire, England.

Emily was born in Burnley, Lancashire, England, in 1855. Her parents were Walker Stowell, and Eliza Loynd. It appears she was one of at least five children. Emily married Warren Peel on September 28, 1876, in Keighley, West Riding, at St John. The couple would have at least three children between 1877, and 1891.
