Biography

Anthony Stratford was the son of Richard Stratford of Hawling by his wife Margaret Combe. He was born in about 1570.

On 1 Aug 1597 he married Elizabeth Churchman. Their marriage took place at Enfield, Middlesex, England. ^[1] Elizabeth's sister Alice had married Anthony's brother Richard in about 1585, so the two were probably already well acquainted with each other. Anthony and Elizabeth resided at their home in Friday St, London.

Together they had at least six children, most of whom were baptised at the church of St Margaret Moses in London.
