Zebulon was a Private in the American Army during the Revolutionary War first serving in Capt. Ichabod Dexter's company of Minute men, Col. Ephraim Doolittle's regt., which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775.

He collected a pension from March 4, 1831 until his death on August 18, 1842.

Zebulon and Jerusha were residents of New Salem, Hampshire, Massachusetts in 1800 -1810. In 1800 there were three girls and 1 boy in their household.

By 1820, Zebulon and his family had moved to Concord, Niagara (later Erie County), New York.

By 1830 and until his death in 1842, Zebulon was a resident of Little Valley, Cattaraugus, New York. [12][13]
Zebulon died on August 18, 1842 and was buried in Annis Cemetery, Little Valley, Cattaraugus, New York.
