Biography

Darwin married Ida Edith Streeter on 24 December 1887, in Jefferson County. Ida was born in September of 1870, in Wisconsin. She died on 22 November 1948, in Modesto, Stanislaus County, California. She is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery. Ida was the daughter of Peter Streeter and Anna Gertie Kniffle [sic] Streeter. They were born in Germany. In 1900, Darwin and Ida are living in Jefferson. Darwin is a farmer. Darwin`s mother, Caroline Hake is living with them. In 1905, Darwin and Ida are living in Pine Valley, Clark County, Wisconsin. Darwin is farming. In 1920, Ida is widowed and living with her daughter, Irma Purucker, in Koshkonong. Ida`s sons Leo and Lester are also living in the Purucker household.
