The Thomas Stribling who married Nancy Ann Kincheloe was Thomas Stribling, Jr., born about 1730, the son of Thomas Stribling, Sr. and Elizabeth Taliaferro. He was a private in the Revolutionary War in Corp Hughes Regiment.

Thomas Stribling moved from Virginia to South Carolina and settled in the Pendleton District, in now what is now Anderson County. His wife was a relative of Colonel William Kincheloe, who came to Austin's Colony on the ill fated "Lively" with Horatio Chriesman, and others from New Orleans.

Thomas Stribling and his wife Nancy Kincheloe were the parents of the following children: Thomas Stribling (married Elizabeth Haile), Jesse Stribling (married Elizabeth Sloan), Lucy Stribling (married Obediah Trimmier, the old Revolutionary Soldier, father of Thomas Trimmier, of Washington County, Texas), & Nancy Stribling (married Samuel Tate) (also: married Nancy Ann Kincheloe and had at least 8 children. They moved into the Union District, South Carolina where their eighth child, Sigismund, was born in 1772)

Thomas Stribling, II, and William Buchanan purchased a tract of 450 acres on Brown Creek in 1786.

Nancy Ann and Thomas were buried in unmarked graves at Andersonville Baptist Church, Andersonville, Pickens District, SC. [1]
