In the name of God Amen. The twelfth day of April 1814 I John STRICKLIN of the State of Tennessee and County of Robertson being sick in body but of good and perfect memory thanks be to Almighty God and calling to remembrance the uncertainty of this life do make and constitute ordain and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following revoking and amending by these presents all and every will and wills heretofore by me made and declared either by word or in writing and this only is to be taken for my last will and testament. And first being heartily sorry for my sins past most humbly deserving forgiveness for the same. I commit my soul to Almighty God trusting to be saved through the merits of Jesus Christ and my body to be buried where it shall please my Executors hereafter named to appoint and as to the settling of the temporal estate as it has pleased God to bestow upon me I do ordain give and dispose the same in manner following, that is to say -.

Item, I bequeath all that I have in the hands of my loving wife Susannah as long as she was a widow to be disposed of as she thinks best and if she marries, to have a child's part and I do hereby constitute and appoint my friends Joseph PITTS and George BARBY (BARBEE) the Executors of this my last will and testament - In writing whereof I hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twelth day of April One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fourteen. 1
