He arrived in Missouri from Owsley County Kentucky in the late 1850s by covered wagon pulled by oxen, with his family.
Henry H. Strong and family moved to Missouri about 1858. He lived in Ozark and Douglas County. His wife, Mary Hickman, died about 1872, and was buried in Loftin Cemetery in Douglas County. In 1875 he married Mary Jane Sharpe b. 1843 in Ohio. They had one son and one daughter. He died in Ozark County in 1888 and is buried in Sallee Cemetery.
