    1. ) In the name of God Amen: we Ezra Strong an Abigail Strong his wife of Colchester in the County of New London, and State of Connecticut being in Sound Mind and memory Considering the frailty and uncertainty of human life aged ____, think it proper to Setle our temporal Interests which God in his good providence hath given us the use of. Do make this our last will and testament--hereby revoking all former wills by us made.
    2. ) Imprimus as first we give our Souls to God who Made them: and our Bodies to the Earth to be buried at the discretion of our Executors here-after mentioned asec.
    3. ) Item: our will is in the first place that our Just Debts and funeral expenses be paid by our executor out of Money obtained by sale ...nd then if the woman survives her husband and She to have the whole use of all our freehold Estate During her Natural Life; and if the man Should Survive the woman then he to have the whole use of all our freehold Estate During his Natural life____
    4. ) Item: we give to our Son David Strong, all our Lands after our Decease with the appurtences thereof (he to provide for us in our old age).
    5. ) Item: our five sons: vis: Ezra Strong, = Jaben Strong, = Philip Strong, = Ebben Strong, = and John Strong (Deceased) having received their part of our Estate we have nothing for to will to them or their Children____
