Biography

John was born in 1760 to parents to John & Hepzibah (Wolcott) Strong. John Strong and Lydia Sumner were married Nov 1781 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. They are both buried in South Windsor.

John and Lydia had three children:

• Elnathan Strong
• William Strong
• Sophia Strong

Notes

John had a brother named Elnathan (born 30 Jul 1740 and died 25 Sep 1751, age 11 years) who died before he was born. John also had a brother John who was born before him (12 Aug 1754 in East Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut) and who would have died before he was born on 28 May 1760 in East Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut. If the first John's birth date was mistakenly used for the second John, the cenotaph age of "80 years" would make more sense. ^[1]
