Biography

Lycenia Strong was born on October 22, 1850 in Greenfield, Pennsylvania. She was one of five known daughters of Albert Strong and Mary C. Newell.

Lycenia married Oscar Mayo and had five known children: Lydia, Eliza, Lucy, May, and Alvin Mayo. She died at the age of 76 on March 6, 1927, in Nicholson, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania. She is buried in Peckville, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. See family photos here: Lycenia (Strong) Mayo.
