Reading the Pension application Sept 2020, JSC finds possible signatures of Permelia Snell, Ransom Snell, and Olive VanderCook (daughter of Philip Adkins and Permelia Strong). Olive VanderCook FindAGrave record #128857951, d. Oct 1867, buried in Cleveland, OH. Olive (b. 1806) is listed with three children in 1850 census next record to Ransom Snell and family, Warren Co, Ohio.
Parmelia Snell received her deceased first husband, Phillip Adkins' War of 1812 military pension on the 11th of November, 1857.
Death
Permelia Snell died presumably sometime after the 11th of November, 1862 when her Old War Widow pension from her first husband reached the five year maximum term.[6][7]

A veteran's pension file typically includes his rank, place of residence, age or date of birth, and time of service.
