John was born in 1933, in Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire, England. He was the son of Sydney Strong and Madge Michael. [1]
He married Jeanette Sylvia Hurst in 1964, in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. [2]
He passed away in 2019, aged 86 years in hospital, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, England of pneumonia. He had previously suffered a stroke late January 2015, paralysing his left side, and spent time in Cornwallis Court for residential care and nursing. His service was held at the West Suffolk Crematorium, St Edmund's Chapel, Suffolk, England. We'll walk the road of life together, day by day, And I will love you every step of the way; The road may wind beneath the sky of blue or grey, And I will love you every step of the way. His son Rob gave the Tribute and the poem, His Journey's Just Begun by Ellen Brenneman was read by grandson, Jack Logan.
