Biography

Sopia Strang 40 widow married James Strong 46 widower, carrier, on 30 Nov 1839 in Hobart. ^[1]

In the 1842 Hobart census James Strong was householder and employer of servants in Collins st, Hobart. Seven people were inhabitants, five were free, four arriving free and one boy born in the colony. One single man over 21 under 45 held a TL. One married couple, probably James and Sophia. ^[2]

James Strong died aged 52 years of apoplexy on 02 Oct 1847 in the house of Molly Johnson Collins st, Hobart. Inquest held 4 Oct 1847. ^{[3] [4]}
