Strong, first president of the Eastman Kodak Co., died last night at his winter home in Nassau, Bahamas. He had been in poor health for several years.</line><line /><line>Mr. Strong was born in Rochester, the son of Henry G. Strong, and attended the Hill School and Yale University.</line><line /><line>He spent his summers at Alasa Farms at Alton where at one time he raised hackney horses and herds of pedigreed cattle, many of which took prizes in International expositions.</line><line /><line>During World War II Mr. Strong served as chairman of the Monroe County War Price and Rationing Board.</line><line ><line>He leaves his widow, Mrs. Marjorie Hall Strong; four daughters, Mrs. John L. Wehle, Mrs. James F. Mangan, Mrs. Donald F. Clapp and Mrs. Richard J. Garrett, and 14 grandchildren.

    Alvah Strong, Dies in Bahamas

    </line><line>

    Alvah Griffin Strong, grandson of Henry A. Strong, first president of the Eastman Kodak Co., died last night at his winter home in Nassau, Bahamas.  He had been in poor health for several years.

    Mr. Strong was born in Rochester, the son of Henry G. Strong, and attended the Hill School and Yale University.
