Biography

Deborah West was born in 1751.^{[citation needed]} She was the daughter of William West and Jane West.^[1][2]

Deborah married Stephen Strong 21 Jan 1773 in Cornwallis, Kings, Nova Scotia.^[2]

Children of Deborah and Stephen include:

• Peter, b 14 Aug 1774 Cornwallis^[3]
• Hannah, b 12 Aug 1776 Cornwallis^[4]

On 6 Jul 1787, Deborah, widow of Stephen Strong, sought guardianship for her 2 children. John Newcomb and Eber Porter were appointed guardians. ^[5]

Deborah married Obed Benjamin 9 Jul 1787 in Horton, Kings, Nova Scotia.^[6]

Children of Deborah and Obed include:

• Mary, b 18 Mar 1793 Horton^[7]

The Will of Obed was written 6 Dec 1803 and proved 31 May 1806 in Cornwallis. It mentions his wife Deborah, sons Stephen, Caleb, Abel, Obed, and Jacob, and daughters Lydia Parker and Elizabeth Kinnie.^[8]

Deborah passed away in 1835.^{[citation needed]}
