Biography

Johannes and Anna Margarat came to Pennsylvania from Germany on 9 September 1751 with his two sons, Jonannes Frederick and Johannes at the invitation of William Penn. They came to America on the ship Patience, under the command of Hugh Steel, and landed at the port of Chester (Philadelphia, PA. on Sept. 9, 1751. The two sons were both over 16 years old at the time. The sons both married the same day 5 August 1760 at Kellers Lutheran Church in Bucks County, Pa..[1]

Johannes was likely born earlier than 1720, as he would have been only 12 years old when son Johannes Friedrich was born in 1732.

Most sources I've seen list his birth as 1700.

Strohschneider-3 and Strosnider-2 appear to represent the same person because: similar dates and wife, same son, places are similar also
