Note NI38792[6958--FrankStrother.FTW]Enlisted Apr 1861, Co. F, 13th Virginia Inf, Early's Brigade, Ewell'sD ivision; lieutenant, Co. E; wounded 12 May 1864, at Spotsylvania C.H.; discharged same day. He took the wound at Bloody Angle and it wasdevas tating. A Minie ball passed through his left arm, shattered andtore aw ay his collar bone, passed through the upper lobes of his leftlung, and l odged somewhere in his back but was never found (ConfederateVeteran, Vo l XXXIV, 1926, p. 429).1865 GOV: Culpeper County, Virginia, State Senator 1865-1867.Judge and representative of Giles County, Virginia, family genealogist .
