Biography

William Stroub was born in Stone Arabia, Herkimer, New York in 1754, according to some genealogies, 1757 according to others. He married Maria (family unknown) and died 1819 in Columbia, Herkimer, New York. There were a William Stroup and William Sproup Jur next to each other in the 1790 census at Palatine, Montgomery, New York. The younger William had one male over 16 and 2 females.[1]
