Biography

Joan Strode daughter of William Strode and his wife, Mary Southcote was born about 1590 or perhaps a bit later as she married her first husband, Sir Francis Drake of Buckland Abbey, Devon, on 5 Jun 1615. He died on 11 Mar 1637.

Her second husband whom she married on 21 August 1639 was Sir John Trefusis. There were no children from this marriage. [1]
