Son of George Francis Stroulger and Sarah Isabella Potts, of Ottawa, Ontario.[1]
He studied at Lisgar Collegiate Institute.[2], where he played goal on the Senior Hockey Team, 1934-1935.[3] Prior to enlisting for service in the Second World War he worked at General Supply of Canada, Limited.[4] He was a member of the Rideau Tennis and Aquatic Club.
He died while serving in the Second World War with 'A' Sqn., 7th Reconnaissance Regiment, 17th Duke of York's Royal Canadian Hussars, Royal Canadian Armoured Corps.[5] He had two older brothers that also served in the war, Lieutenant Kenneth Stroulger, Royal Canadian Artillery and Quartermaster Sergeant Angus Stroulger, Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa.[4]
He is buried in the Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery.[5]
