Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having. How is your experience with Wikitree going? Our G2G Forum is searchable or you can post a question there.

The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

Hi Jeannine,

WikiTree has a different way to do things, but it is a Wiki, which means it is run by the whole community for most things. So, for example, when you have a question, it is a good thing to check the G2G forum (see link at the bottom of this page). One or several members usually try to answer, and it works well if people use it. The drop-down menus at the top of this page (run your mouse over them to see) and the links at the bottom of this page are good places to begin to explore WikiTree. It takes most people a little time to get oriented - there is a great deal going on here. We want everyone's experience of WikiTree to be a happy one, so if you have questions you cannot get answered in G2G, leave a message for me or for Hans by clicking on our names, etc. welcome!

Hi Jeannine!

Thank you for your decision to contribute. WikiTreers have all sorts of skills, but one common interest - genealogy. I would recommend first looking around and become familiar with the various functions.

The main menu, located at the top right of the page, offers access to the most important features amongst them your Wiki-ID. In the help section »G2G« at the bottom, you’ll find the WikiTree online help. You can ask all sorts of questions, technical and others, and because WikiTree is worldwide, there is almost always someone online, who can give a qualified answer. Good luck! - And don't forget to sign the Honor Code. Pleasure to have you onboard.

Please add your full last name!

I plan to share my tree. Maybe it will answer someone else's questions, maybe I will find more answers about it, maybe I will find unknown relatives. I would be happy to help someone, but I'm not at all an expert.
