William Stuart is a member of Clan Stuart of Bute.
Capt-Lord William Stuart was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

William was born on 18 November 1778. He was the son of John Stuart 1st Marquess of the County of Bute and Hon. Charlotte Windsor.
He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.
He married Hon. Georgiana Maude (daughter of Cornwallis Maude, 1st Viscount Hawarden and Anne Isabella Monck) in June 1806.
They had one daughter; Georgiana Stuart (b. 1807, d. 1833).
Sadly his wife died in 1807.
He died in 1814 at the age of 35.
