As eldest son of a king of Scots, Henry was Duke of Rothesay. On his father inheriting the English throne he also became Prince of Wales and Duke of Cornwall.

He was created Prince of Wales 4 Jun 1610. He was buried 8 Dec 1612, under the monument of his grandmother, Mary Queen of Scots, whose remains had been brought from Scotland the previous month. (Chester)
