John Stuart was born on 4 February 1784 in Keith, Banffshire, Scotland. He was the son of Robert Stuart and his wife Margaret Campbell.
He was baptised on 10 February 1784 in the parish of Keith, Banffshire, Scotland.
He emigrated to Canada about 1824.
He passed away on 11 August 1863 (aged 80 Years) in Albert, New Brunswick, Canada and was buried in the Albert Pioneer Cemetery, Riverside-Albert, Albert County, New Brunswick, Canada.
John Stuart was married to his 1st wife Elizabeth Monroe (1805–1823). She died in childbirth in 1823.
