Biography
John was born about 1890 in Linlithgowshire this is estimated based on census records. His parents were Andrew Stuart (~1862 - ) and Jamima Murdoch (1864 - ).
In the 1891 census John (age 1) was the grandson of John Murdoch in Westfield, Auchterderran, Fife.[1]
In the 1901 census John (age 11), Scholar, was the son of Andrew Stuart in Kirkness Road, Portmoak, Kinross.[2]
