I am researching our Club's WW1 Honour Board which Cecil Roy Stubbs is listed on.
He served in the Army Service Corps. Service #8478 from 7 Sep 1915 until 1917 and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal on 1st January 1918.
His photo appears in the Sydney Mail Newspaper 15 May 1918 page 27 (you can find this on TROVE) in this it shows he was awarded the DCM but that is incorrect.
I note you have Cecil's birth as 15th July and death 3rd April - presume you have documentation?
If your not aware, Cecil and his wife Nellie only had one daughter, Betty Evelyn - she never married and died in 2003.
I wonder what happened to his MSM?
Be interested to hear your connection with Cecil. Regards Veronica
