Eugene, son of Zachariah Stump and Nancy Catherine Cromer, was born 2 August 1897 in Dallastown, York County, Pennsylvania.[1]

1900 rented home on East Main Street in Dallastown, York, Pennsylvania, United States Lackaris [sic] Zachariah (age 36, cigar maker) Nancy Stump (37, mother of ten, five living), [[Stump-1733|May Grace (14, cigar box paster), Tonetta "Tonia" (11), Elmer S. (8), Eugene S. (3) and Miles Z. (three months). [2]
