Biography

Eva Minerva Sturdevant was born on 7 Oct 1872 in Wisconsin to Robert Franklin Sturdevant and Mary Jane Tousely. [1]

In 1880, Eva Sturdevant lived in Dayton, Columbia, Washington, with her parents, R. F. and Mary J. Sturdevant. R. F. was a prosecuting attorney. [2]

Preston Troy and Eva Sturdevant were married on 28 Oct 1896 in Columbia County, Washington. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. B. Doane, and the witnesses to the ceremony were John C. Hurspool and E. Lucile Aldrich.[3] Eva and Preston had at least the following children born at Olympia,. Thurston, Washington:

  • Female, b. 3 Dec 1897[4]
  • Marian G. Troy, b. 21 May 1899[5]
  • Harold Preston Troy, b. 11 Nov 1900[6]
  • Smith Troy, b. 31 Aug 1906

Eva M. Sturdevant Troy died in Olympia on 9 Sept 1948.[1] She is buried at the Masonic Memorial Park, Tumwater, Thurston, Washington: Plot: Block 129, Lot 18, Row 1[7]
