Dorothea Sturen (or Stuhren) was born in Hanover, Germany, in 1896, daughter of Wilhelm Stuhren and Dorotha Hasper. Dorothea immigrated to the United States before 1872, when she married Friedrich Wilhelm Lange in Manhattan, New York. They had 4 children: Fred William, Adolph, Wilhelmine Fredericke and Anna Dorothy. Her husband Friedrich passed away in 1880. In 1882 she married Henry William Lange. The couple moved to Montana, where Dorothea passed away in 1896.
