Biography
Truax Diebold Sturgeon was born on in 1833 in Hart County, Kentucky to James Sorrel Sturgeon Jr. and Elizabeth Pagget.
Not to be confused with Truax Sturgeon born 1836 in Hart, Kentucky to Obediah Sturgeon.
He married first Sara C Tenison in 1855. Children: Mary Elizabeth 1856, Cynthia Lou Ann 1858, James W 1862, Sarah C 1864. She died in 1864. He served in the Civil War in Kentucky. He married second Sarah Jane Harper about 1865. Children: Billie S, William Sherman, Willis Craddock, Mary E, Julian E, Mauda Mandy, Simon M, John W. He died
