Biography

Emeline was born in 1835. She is the daughter of John Sturgeon and Elizabeth Rowland.

Married Ebenezer Coen. Emeline was one of eight children. She was left a 30-year-old widow with three children when Ebenezer was killed at the Battle of Monocacy, Maryland. She never remarried.
