Biography
Dimon Sturges and Sarah Perry had daughter "Mary; b. Nov. 23. 1791; d. Sept. 27, 1858; m. Chester Welles. Putnam. Ohio."[1]
Chester, Born 15 Oct 1788 in Chatham, CT. Died 26 May 1868 in Coshocton, OH, buried in the Hanover Cemetery, Hanover, OH. Married ... 2) on 20 Jun 1844 Mary Sturges of Putnam, OH, who died in Hanover, OH.[2]
They were married by the Rev. A Kingsbury D.D., at the Putnam Presbyterian Church. This church was established, about 1840, at Putnam, which is now a part of the city of Zanesville, Ohio.[3]
