In the 1900 US Census, Mary is residing in the household of her step-son Frank and his family along with her husband David. This census records that Mary has been married for 25 years. With Hubert being born in 1880, Hubert is Mary's second child with husband David. This census also records that she was the mother of 2 children with 1 currently living, which seems to be an error, as Frank Kinney would be a 3rd child and appears in the 1915 Kansas State Census. Mary was awarded a pension of $ 12 per month, private act of Congress no 473 approved 11 July 1890 for her service as an army nurse.
