John Sturtevant was born to Samuel Sturtevant and Ann Lee on 4 Sep 1658 at Plymouth, Massachusetts. He was the twin brother of Hannah Sturtevant[1]
John first married Hannah Winslow about 1685. After her death in 1709 he married Mary (Smith) Haskell, widow of Mark Haskell, on 12 Jul 1711.[1]
In 1749, his daughter Hannah Cotton and his grandson Theophilus Cotton petitioned the probate court to declare him non-compos mentis. He was very aged and unable to care for himself. His inventory was taken on 19 April 1749.[2] Theophilus Cotton of Plymouth was appointed his guardian.[3]
In 1750, his guardian presented an account of his estate.[4]
John is buried at Burial Hill, Plymouth, Plymouth, MA[5]
