Note
Note: Hi Anne This is a mystery to me and the records are vague. It is possibly that John Stiles married twice, and the record at that time is not very clear. There is a record reference of one of his sons The Revd John Styles in the records of the Congregational Church record in Dr Williams Library, It states that John was one of 17 children of John & Mary. I have found a Richard Cophen Styles son of Samuel Styles who is The Revd brother, It is possible the clerk at the registrar's office was a bit 'mutton' (cockney slang) and surposed to enter Coppin. When John & Mary (Wharton) came down they must have brought the other side of the family of Mary Coppin. These are possibilties, thats why I have left as it is, but needs time and going throught the records we can get to put it right. Below are descendants of John & Mary Styles

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
