Katherine Styles was born on 10 Mar 1867 and baptized on 17 Mar 1867 at the Catholic Church in Baltinglass, Wicklow, Ireland. She was the daughter of Edward Styles, a harness maker, and Margaret Kavanagh.^[1][2]

Katherine Styles married Maurice F Hayes on 2 May 1898 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburn, Cayuga, New York, USA. ^[3] He was the son of John Hayes and Johanna Mulcahy.
