Anna (Styles) Horn was a Tennessean.

Anna (Styles) Horn was born about 1805 in North Carolina, United States, daughter of John Styles (~1775 - <1827) and Cassandra (Unknown) Styles (~1780 - <1850). There isn't any evidence to suggest her mother is Cassandra Williams as is often mentioned in online family trees and copied from one tree to the next without a source.

Onslow County, North Carolina Deed Book 17, page 1156, # 33 26 Dec 1827: John Giles bought of Richard Horn and wife, Anney, a plantation known as the John Stiles place, in the fork of Dudley's Mill Pond which is Anney Horn's right in her father's property, deceased.

Anna and her husband, Richard Horn are in McNairy County, Tennessee before the 1830 census was enumerated, indicating they started a Western migration after selling their land in Onslow County, North Carolina.

Cassandra Stiles, between the ages of 50-60, lives next door to the John McIntire family and five families from Richard Horn and his family in the U.S. Federal 1840 census for McNairy County, Tennessee. In the 1850 census Anna (age 45) was in McNairy, McNairy, Tennessee, United States.^[1]

In the 1870 census Anna (age 55) was in McNairy, Tennessee, United States.^[3]

Anna was living when her husband died in 1875, and the last record for her is when she signs (with her X) a receipt for her yearly settlement of Richard Horn's estate on 2 March 1877 in McNairy County, Tennessee. Anna died after 1877 in McNairy County, Tennessee aged >72.
