Maude is the daughter of W. Daniel and Mary (Forest) Sudds. Her family lived in Macomb, St. Lawrence, New York until about 1860, when her family came to Michigan, where she was born. Her father died in 1868. In 1870, she lived in Chocolay Township, Marquette, Michigan. The household included Mary (a widow), 48, born in Ireland, whose parents were of foreign birth, with $300 in real estate; and her seven children: Addison, 21, a laborer; Josephine, 18; Rachael, 17; Jennie, 14; Daniel, 11; Maud, 10; and Elsie, 6. Maud and Elsie were born in Michigan. All the other children were born in New York. The four youngest children were in school. [1]
Maude married George W. Dunn on 21 August 1889 in Crystal Falls, Iron, Michigan. George is the son of Walter and Sarah (Williams) Dunn. [2]
Maude died at age 82, on 13 March 1944 in Crystal Falls, Iron, Michigan. She is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Crystal Falls, Iron, Michigan. [3]
