Andre Suire was born about 1780 in Saint-André-de-Cubzac, Gironde, Aquitaine, France, a son of Pierre Suire (1742 - ) and Jeanne (DuBois) Suire (1750 - 1810).

In St. Martinville, Louisiana, on 23 September 1799, at about age 19, Andre married Marie Claire Dartez, age 17 (daughter of Jean Dartes of St.Martin de Castres, Diocese of Bordeaux, and Pelagis Prevot of Fort Chartres, Illinois).^[1]
