Biography

Rose was born about 1844. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Sullivan.

After her first husband died, she married John Norris, accountant, son of Richard, on 20 Oct 1880 at St. Simons, Liverpool.

John Murphy wrote: Rose married John Norris in 1880 and appears on the census in 1891 with John and their children living in Liskeard (? - looks like Liscard) BUT I have three baptism records at St Peter's for John Jeremiah Mayne born 19 Dec 1873, Rose Whitburn Mayne born 12 May 1878 and Winifred Elizabeth Mayne born 6 Dec 1875 born to a James Mayne and Rose Sullivan. I cannot find any birth, death, marriage or census records for them, have you ever come across them and know what happened to them?"

• Interestingly, the children on the census image appear to be Rose Norris (born 1880) and Cuthbert Norris (born 1890.) And I think it says Liscard (near Liverpool?)
